Coupon codes can be used to secure advertising credits, which are used to buy LinkedIn advertising products and features, such as single image ads, conversation ads, and boosting a post. Coupon codes are converted to your ad account’s currency once applied.
When you apply a coupon code to your account, advertising charges are first deducted from the coupon value. Your credit card will then be charged once the coupon has been exhausted or has expired.
If you'd prefer your ad campaign to stay within the dollar amount of the coupon code, you’ll need to set a daily or lifetime budget and end date accordingly.
To find a credit or promotion for your ad account:
- Go to your ad account in Campaign Manager.
- Click Account settings on the left menu, then click Billing.
- Click the Credits and promotions tab at the top of the page.
The Credits and promotions section in Campaign Manager will show any advertising credits or promotional offers on your account. You can view the following information within this section:
| Column name | Description |
|---|---|
| Status | Indicates the current state of the credit, such as active, fully used, or expired. |
| Qualify by | The deadline by which you must meet any required conditions (such as spending a certain amount) to unlock or receive the credit. |
| Redeemed on | The date the credit was applied to your ad account after being redeemed or earned. |
| Remaining | The portion of the credit that hasn’t yet been used toward your ad spend. |
| Expires on | The date after which the credit can no longer be used. |
Coupon codes for LinkedIn advertising are usually offered through emails sent out by LinkedIn or promotions on LinkedIn-owned marketing pages (for example, product or campaign landing pages). There are a few different kinds of coupon codes. Some are intended for brand new advertisers and others are intended for existing advertisers. The coupon code type will be indicated on the email offer you receive or in product.
If you haven't received a coupon code, then regrettably, you don't meet the marketing requirements for that offer. You're always welcome to purchase our services at the listed price. If you’re a nonprofit, learn more about how you can advertise with LinkedIn.
You must be the billing admin on your ad account to manage payment methods and apply coupon codes. You can redeem your coupon code from your ad account’s Billing page.
If you haven’t added billing information to your ad account yet, you can also redeem your coupon code when you first enter your credit card details. You’ll be prompted to add your credit card information when you launch your first ad campaign or boost a post from your LinkedIn Page.

Advertising credits and promotions are subject to the terms of each offer and may include restrictions on how they can be earned, used, and managed.
| Limitation | Description |
|---|---|
| Eligibility requirements apply | Not all ad accounts qualify for credits or promotions. Offers are typically provided to specific accounts and may require meeting certain conditions (for example, spending a minimum amount) before credits are applied. |
| Credits may expire or require timely redemption | Promotional credits often have a redemption deadline and an expiration date. If not used within the allowed timeframe, the remaining balance is forfeited. |
| Credits apply only to eligible spend | Advertising charges are deducted from available promotional credit first, but credits can only be used toward LinkedIn advertising and not for previous charges. |
| Spend requirements may apply | Some offers (such as “Spend X, Get Y”) require you to meet a minimum spend before receiving the credit. |
| Credits can’t be transferred between ad accounts | Promotional credits are tied to the specific ad account where they were issued and can’t be transferred or shared with other accounts. |
| Charges apply after credits are used | Once your promotional credit is fully used or expires, any additional campaign spend is charged to your selected payment method. |
| Terms and conditions vary by offer | Each promotion may have different rules, including eligibility, usage limits, and expiration, which are outlined in the offer details. |
