As of May 2025, we aren’t accepting new domains for LinkedIn AutoFill. If you currently have LinkedIn AutoFill set up on your website, it will continue to work as usual.
LinkedIn AutoFill can be used to obtain the following information about a visitor after they've clicked the AutoFill button on your landing page:

Country
If the information for a particular field listed above is not available via the LinkedIn member's public profile, AutoFill will not return any data.
If you use dropdown menus for certain form fields, the information will populate only if it matches the options provided in your menu.

Can area code be separated from the phone number field using AutoFill?
No. Phone number has to be a single field and area code cannot be in a separate field.
Can first name and last name be combined into a single field?
No. Currently, first name, and last name need to be separate fields.
If I require business email addresses for my forms, can I suppress personal email addresses from populating the email field?
You cannot choose to have the field populate based on the whether the visitor's email address is personal or for business.
Does AutoFill work on multi-step forms?
No. If there's a series of steps for data entry, followed by a next button and additional steps before submission, AutoFill will only fill the form on the original form with the AutoFill button and will not submit data to a form following the next click.
Why does AutoFill match to my form fields even though I haven't mapped the fields in my AutoFill code?
AutoFill detects the common tags for the form field and maps them automatically with LinkedIn data. Below are the tags auto-detected by AutoFill:

Do not use these tags for name, ID, or placeholder fields of your form if you wish to exclude using AutoFill in those fields.
