As an advertiser, you can use Dynamic Group Budget, or budget optimization, to optimize the budget for a campaign, rather than an individual ad set. You can set one central campaign budget, which is then used to continuously optimize the objective-based return on investment (ROI) across all ad sets within the campaign.
Campaigns are available for both Classic and Accelerate ad set types, and you can have a campaign that contains only Classic ad sets, only Accelerate ad sets, or a mix of Classic and Accelerate ad sets. When using Classic and Accelerate ad sets in the same campaign, they must have the same objective type, bidding strategy, optimization goal, daily or lifetime budget, and schedule if Dynamic Group Budget is turned on.
Important to know
• Currently, any ad sets that use Dynamic Group Budget don’t support forecasting.
• Dynamic Group Budget isn’t available for ad accounts that have been set up using an Insertion Order. Only online ad accounts that pay using credit card or monthly invoicing can use Dynamic Group Budget.
How Dynamic Group Budget works
Dynamic Group Budget automatically and continuously finds the best auction opportunities for results across ad sets and optimizes towards the campaign objective’s optimization goal. It works in real time to determine the most effective use of a campaign’s budget to help lower cost per result and increase return on ad spend.
Some of the benefits of using Dynamic Group Budget are:
- Eliminates the need to manually monitor and shift budgets across ad sets to save time.
- Ensures budgets are used efficiently and optimally to achieve business outcomes.
