Prepaid ad credits for boosting your LinkedIn post on mobile

Last updated: 2 months ago

As a LinkedIn member, you can boost your posts on the LinkedIn feed from both desktop and mobile devices to increase your visibility, grow your followers, and get more website clicks. To boost on mobile, you must have ad credits for your budget. When you boost a post on mobile, you’ll set your audience, duration, and budget, then review your boost. Ad credits are purchased in the final step of checkout, right before you complete your order.

If you don’t have enough, you’ll see an Add credits prompt during checkout to purchase the amount needed.

Important to know

Mobile boosting is currently in testing and is gradually being released. You might not have access to it at this time, and some functionality might change over time.

How payments work

How you purchase credits depends on your mobile device.

  • On iOS - Boosts are funded with prepaid ad credits you purchase in‑app through Apple’s checkout flow. These credits don’t expire.
  • On Android - You’ll complete payment through LinkedIn checkout presented in a web view. No Google Play fee applies to this purchase.

Budget and currencies

  • The minimum budget is $10 per day, for at least 2 days (local currency equivalents apply).
  • Mobile boosting supports the same currencies as Campaign Manager.
  • If your App Store currency (iOS) doesn’t match your LinkedIn ad account currency, you may be blocked from purchasing credits until the mismatch is resolved. Since ad account currencies can’t be changed, you’ll need to update your App Store currency to match your LinkedIn ad account.

Credit usage

  • Ad credits purchased from your ad account can’t be used on another ad account, but they can be used across multiple campaign groups.
  • Depending on your ad performance, we can’t guarantee that your total budget or ad credits will be spent.
