When using certain third-party platforms, you’ll be offered the option to add “Verified on LinkedIn” information to your account or profile on those third-party platforms. If you opt to do so, you will be asked to consent to share your profile and verification information with those third-party platforms.

If you don’t currently have any verifications associated with your LinkedIn profile, you may be asked to go to LinkedIn to complete the verification process. Click here for more information about LinkedIn’s verification options.

When you complete the verification process and consent to sharing your information, you can return to the third-party platform.

If you’ve shared your LinkedIn verification information with a third party, the “Verified on LinkedIn” information may be displayed with your profile or account information on the third-party's platform.

You can remove the information by completing the two steps listed below.

Step 1: Stop sharing data with the third-party through your LinkedIn settings page or by following the steps:

Step 2: Contact the third-party and ask that they delete your LinkedIn data.

With your consent and depending on the API version the third-party platform is using, LinkedIn may share:

• Your profile photo, your first and last name, your photo, your LinkedIn headline, and your LinkedIn public profile URL; and
• Your profile verification details, including type (ex: workplace), date of verification, and name of your company or educational institution (if applicable).

You can stop sharing data with the third-party at any time in your LinkedIn settings. After you disconnect your LinkedIn account from a third-party application, the application owner may retain and use your LinkedIn data received prior to your settings change. You can contact the third-party to request that they delete your LinkedIn data that they possess.
