Providing performance and transparency measurement tools

LinkedIn provides an API Product to enable EU/EEA/Switzerland business users of the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions products and services to work with independent verification partners that meet qualifying criteria (listed below) (with respect to invalid traffic, brand safety, and viewability).

At this time, only business users located in the EU/EEA/Switzerland (as determined by advertiser location through LinkedIn Marketing Solutions billing services) can work with their verification partners to utilize this functionality. Verification partners will receive error messages if they make queries to the API on behalf of business users who are not located in the EU/EEA/Switzerland.

To access this data, third-party verification partners will complete an application with the help of the Developer Support team and provide information to LinkedIn to confirm that they meet qualifying criteria, including:

  1. They follow industry standards for verification. For instance, they must show accreditation or certification with organizations such as the Media Ratings Council (“MRC”) or Trustworthy Accountability Group (“TAG”);
  2. They have received authorization from current LinkedIn advertisers who are interested in their verification services;
  3. They accept and agree to LinkedIn’s legal terms for advertiser-requested verification partners;
  4. They comply with the LinkedIn-defined process for privacy, information security (e.g., SOC 2 compliance), and technical requirements for data access/processing;

Application review for DMA Article 6(8) API Product Access:

Once the third-party verification partner has submitted the application and access request form, the request will be reviewed by LinkedIn. LinkedIn will verify that the proposed verification partner meets the qualifying criteria listed above and perform entity verification (i.e., verifying organization and business contact information). After entity verification and once it is established that an ad verification partner meets the qualifying criteria and has agreed to the applicable terms and conditions, LinkedIn will provide access to the verification partner through implementation of the API Product.

Important to Know

To ensure that LinkedIn protects its members’ privacy, LinkedIn will prohibit the third-party verification partners from sharing members’ personal data (if any), obtained through the API Product with advertisers and will require the third party to only share the verification results not the raw data.
