Differences in Connection Counts on a LinkedIn Profile

The number of connections shown in the overview section on a profile (top of the page below the profile photo) indicates the total number of people the profile owner is connected to.
If a member chooses to share their connections list, this number will link to the See Connections box on the right rail. The number of connections shown on this page may be different due to LinkedIn settings or the connection's privacy or contact settings. The connections in the overview section of a profile page are depicted as [Number]+ .
Note: Once a member accumulates more than 500 connections, 500+ will be displayed on their profile. We don’t display the exact number of connections for a person once they are over 500. Also note that if a member has not made their connections list public, you will not see the See Connections box on the right rail.
