Important to know

Immersive Reader can only be accessed on the desktop website for articles directly published on LinkedIn.

You can now access Microsoft's Immersive Reader on LinkedIn to read through (first-party) articles directly published on the platform. Immersive Reader is designed to make reading more accessible, engaging, and a personalized experience for you.

Immersive Reader helps you isolate content, display pictures for common words, highlight parts of speech, read content aloud, translate content in real-time, and split words into syllables.

To access Immersive Reader:

  1. Click on an article.

  2. Click on Open Immersive Reader below the title of the article.

  3. From the Immersive Reader page, you can:

    • Play to listen: Click Play at the bottom of the page to listen to the article with the Text-to-speech feature.
    • Voice Settings: Click Voice Settings at the bottom of the page to increase or decrease Voice Speed and choose Voice Selection.
    • Text Preferences: Click Text Preferences on the upper right to select Text Size, Increase Spacing, Font, and Themes. You can also choose to show or hide source formatting by switching the toggle next Show Source Formatting.
    • Grammar Options: Click Grammar Options on the upper right to enable/show Syllables and Parts of Speech while using Immersive Reader.
    • Reading Preferences: Click Reading Preferences on the upper right to enable/show Line Focus, Picture Dictionary, and Translate article in real-time.
  4. Click on the Back icon on the upper left to exit Immersive Reader.
