Targeting a Live Event post doesn't affect notifications. When you go live, only attendees of Live Event will be notified, while Page followers will not be notified.
-
Create your Event. Set the event format to LinkedIn Live, upload a cover image, insert event name, and event description. When finished, click Next.
-
Complete the Event creation by writing a feed post about your event in the Share your thoughts... field of the Share box to kick off the distribution of your Live Event in the LinkedIn feed.
-
Click the dropdown next to your Page name to adjust targeting settings.
-
In the Post settings pop-up window, select Targeted audience.
-
In the Target audience pop-up window, use the options Language, Region, Job function, Location, University, Company size, Seniority, or Industry to add your desired targeting criteria.
Note:
- Your Page must have at least 300 followers within the target audience size to successfully target the Live Event. If not, you’ll see an error.
- If you have enough followers to target, you’ll see the number of potential people who’ll receive the post on their feed in the Estimated target follower audience section.
-
Click Save to set the target audience. Once you’ve applied a target audience, you’ll see it indicated under your Page name.
-
Click Post to publish the targeted Live Event to your Page feed.
You can find your Live Event on your Page feed under the Posts tab under the Videos.
