You can turn backup payments on or off from the Payment methods page in LinkedIn Admin Center. This enables LinkedIn to charge an alternative payment method if your preferred one fails for a recurring charge. You must ensure that you’ve added at least one backup payment method for this to work.
To manage backup payment for online purchase:
-
Navigate to the LinkedIn Admin Center page.
-
Click Payment methods on the left pane.
-
In the Payment methods page, click Manage backup payments in the upper right.
-
In the Manage backup payments dialog box:
- Turn on the Backup payments toggle to allow LinkedIn to charge a backup payment method if the primary one fails.
- Turn off the Backup payments toggle to prevent backup payment methods from being charged.
-
Click Close to save your setting.
Notes
- Turning off backup payments may cause interruptions to your purchase if your preferred payment method fails.
- When you add a new payment method, you’ll see a reminder that backup payments are turned off, along with an option to turn them on.
