Last updated: 2 weeks ago

Annotation Studio is a platform where AI trainers complete paid tasks after being hired and onboarded.

Check out the frequently asked questions below.

How do you get started on a new project?

You’ll receive a project brief outlining scope, deliverables, deadlines, references, and point of contact during onboarding.

If anything is unclear, reach out to your project lead before beginning work.

When and how should I submit invoices?

You can submit your invoices by following these steps:

  1. Go to your dashboard.

  2. In the Deliverables section, click Add.

  3. In the Record new deliverable window, enter:

    • Date
    • Engagement
    • Amount
    • Document
    • Notes
  4. Click Submit.

How do you access the Greenlight portal to submit invoices?

You can access the Greenlight portal here.

When will the funds be available?

Funds will hit your bank account within 2 weeks of your invoice submission date.

Who approves my invoice?

Your project lead reviews and approves your submitted invoices. A growth team member submits for final approval.

What should I do if my invoice is rejected or needs edits?

  • Review the comments provided by your special project lead.
  • Make the necessary corrections and resubmit.
  • If you need clarification, contact your project lead directly.
  • Resubmit your invoice once your task has been accepted.

Who do you contact if you have questions about a project or invoice?

  • For project‑related questions, contact your assigned project lead.
  • For any invoicing or tool questions, feel free to reach out to the Growth team member who helped onboard you to Greenlight.

How do I know I successfully completed a task?

You will submit your tasks to the Special Projects Lead (SPL). They will either:

  • Accept it as complete.
  • Ask you to incorporate feedback they may have. Note: Sometimes there can be more than 1 round of feedback. Once your task is accepted, you will receive approval from the SPL to submit an invoice for that task.

If a task ends up taking longer than the estimated hours, how is the compensation handled?

We pay by accepted task; the hours are estimated based on how long it typically takes for an expert to complete that 1 task. This is why we show a range of hourly rates in the job posting. You are welcome to give feedback to the SPL around how long 1 task is taking to complete.

How is the termination or new projects communicated?

When a project is complete, the SPL will let you know. New projects will be communicated to our top experts.
