Create event clips from your event recording

You can create clips from your event recording and post it on LinkedIn. These event clips will help you share key moments from your event with your network to boost visibility and drive engagement.

You can create a maximum of 20 event clips. Each clip can be between 3 seconds and 15 minutes long.

Before you begin

  • You must be a page admin to create event clips.

  • The Create event clips section appears on the Event Details page when your event recording is available.

To create event clips:

  1. Go to the Event Details page of your event.

  2. Under Create event clips, click Create clip.

    • The video editor opens.
  3. On the timeline, drag the trimming window to the section you want to clip.

    • Drag the left edge to adjust the start point.
    • Drag the right edge to adjust the end point.
    • If you want an exact clip, enter the start and end time in the fields provided.
  4. (Optional) If you want captions, turn on the Captions toggle. Captions are auto-generated and cannot be edited.

  5. Enter a Title for your clip.

  6. Click Save clip.

Your clip appears under the Saved clips section in the Media list on the right side of the editor.

Next steps

  • To post a clip, click Post next to it in the Saved clips section. Compose your post and click Post. The clip will be posted on your page’s feed.

  • To download any saved clip, click the  More icon next to the clip and select Download.

  • To delete any saved clip, click the  More icon next to the clip and select Delete.

    Important to know

    You cannot recover a clip once deleted.
