Search for jobs on LinkedIn

LinkedIn helps you find relevant jobs that suit your skills and qualifications. You can either search for a job using the search field on top of the LinkedIn homepage or you can directly access the Jobs page where you can search and apply for jobs.

Note: If you’re new to LinkedIn, we suggest you read about how you can use LinkedIn and its features to easily get started with your job search. Also, make sure that you’ve created a good LinkedIn profile that stands out and showcases your skills and expertise.

There are two types of job postings on LinkedIn:

  • Easy Apply: This allows you to apply for the job on LinkedIn.

  • Apply: You’ll be redirected to the company or third-party website where you can apply for the job externally.

To search for jobs:

  1. Click the Jobs icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click into the Search bar on the top of the page and describe the job you’re looking for in your own words. For example, you can write “I want to use my marketing skills to help cure cancer” or “senior product designer for fintech in California.” Add more details to fine-tune your search.

    • You can also select from the job roles suggested by LinkedIn based on your preferences and qualifications. Please make sure that your LinkedIn profile and job preferences are up to date. You can update your job preferences by navigating to Jobs > Preferences > Open to work.
    • You’ll be directed to the search results page where you’ll see a list of job postings that suit your search query and location.

  3. Use the filters or suggestions at the top of the search results to refine your search query and the results.

    • Once you’ve applied all the filters, you can get job alerts for the search by turning on the alerts toggle.

  4. Click the job posting to view the job description and apply for the job if the job suits your requirement.

Note: Click the Save button on the job details page to save the job.

Here's a tip

To search for job related posts, change the search criteria by clicking or tapping the Jobs dropdown at the top of the page and selecting Posts, then choose the Job posts option under the Content type filter.
