LinkedIn Learning admins can recommend or assign courses and learning paths directly within the platform, enabling visibility into learner progress and engagement. Learners without admin access can still share course or learning path links with colleagues, but this is purely a link‑share—no tracking or reporting is available to them. (Admins can also use this method when browsing courses.)
Important to know
Learners can use the Share button to share a course link via email or link but cannot recommend and assign content.
To recommend or assign content from a course page on LinkedIn Learning:

From LinkedIn Learning, select
Browse.

Navigate to the course you'd like to share and select the
Share icon in the top right corner of the player. -
Select Recommend or assign.

In the Recommend or assign course popup, select one of the options under Choose action:
- Recommend course
- Assign course due on...

Under Choose learners and groups, enter the learner or group name(s) you'd like to include in your recommended or assigned content.

Click Recommend to recommend or assign content to your selected learners.
