Organization Summary downloadable report in Learning

The Organization Summary report includes aggregated data for all learners at your organization. It is meant to help you understand how critical metrics, such as hours viewed and courses completed, are trending over time.
Column Name Metric Definition
Start Day (PST/PDT) The start date of the selected time range. If you select day, week, or month time intervals, we group engagement data using the PST/PDT time zone.
End Day (PST/PDT) The end date of the selected time range. If you select day, week, or month time intervals, we group engagement data using the PST/PDT time zone.
People Logged In The number of unique learners who have logged in during the selected time range. A learner is counted as having logged in whenever they visit LinkedIn Learning, regardless of whether they had to sign in or still had a logged in session.
Unique Viewers The number of unique learners that have viewed any content during the selected time range. A learner is counted as having viewed content as soon as they play a video, view a document, or click on an external link.
Hours Viewed

The total hours viewed by your learners during the selected time range. If a learner watches 1 hour of content in 30 minutes by using 2x speed, this counts as 1 hour viewed. If a learner watches the same hour-long course twice, this counts as 2 hours viewed. If a learner moves the video progress indicator to a different point in the video, this will not add any time to hours viewed. We currently support hours viewed for LinkedIn Learning courses as well as any videos uploaded by your organization. The Hours Viewed metric is formatted in reports as [Hours:Minutes:Seconds].

 

Note: Hours Viewed data is tracked only for LinkedIn Learning courses and videos uploaded by your organization. Learning paths and articles are not currently included in this metric.

Course Views The total number of course views by your learners during the selected time range. A course is considered as viewed when a learner starts any video in that course. If a learner views the same course twice on the same day, this is considered one view. If a learner views the same course on two different days, this is considered two views.
Course Completions The total number of course completions by your learners during the selected time range. A course can only be completed once by each learner.

A LinkedIn Learning course is considered complete once a learner has completed all the required videos in a course. Our content team defines what are the required videos in a course when it gets published, typically excluding introduction and exercise file videos from the required videos list. Serial courses, such as Microsoft Teams Tips Weekly, cannot be completed.
Video Views The total number of video views by your learners during the selected time range. A video is considered as viewed as soon as a learner clicks on it. If a learner views the same video twice on the same day, this is considered one view. If a learner views the same video on two different days, this is considered two views.
Video Completions The total number of videos completed by your learners. A learner completes a video once a they watch at least 70 percent of the video. A video can only be completed once by each learner.
Learning Path Views The total number of learning path views by your learners during the selected time range. A learning path is considered as viewed when a learner watches any piece of content within the learning path after the learning path has been started. A learning path can be started in two ways. A learner can click the “start learning path” button or a learner needs to click on a piece of content from the learning path page and start viewing it.

If a learner views the same learning path twice on the same day, this is considered one view. If a learner views the same learning path on two different days, this is considered two views.
Learning Path Completions The total number of learning paths completed by your learners during the selected time range. A learning path can only be completed once by each learner.

Learning paths from LinkedIn Learning or from your organization are considered complete once a learner has completed all the pieces of content within the learning path. The learner must have started the learning path in order to be able to complete it. A learning path can be started in two ways. A learner can click the “start learning path” button or a learner needs to click on a piece of content from the learning path page and start viewing it.
Document Views The total number of document views by your learners during the selected time range. A document is considered as viewed when a learner opens the document and views a single page. If a learner views the same document twice on the same day, this is considered one view. If a learner views the same document on two different days, this is considered two views.
Document Completions The total number of documents completed by your learners during the selected time range. A document is completed once a learner views all pages. A document can only be completed once by each learner.

Documents uploaded by your organization are considered complete once a learner has viewed all pages in the document.
Article Views The total number of article views by your learners during the selected time range. An article is considered as viewed when the learner clicks on the article link on LinkedIn Learning. If a learner views the same article twice on the same day, this is considered one view. If a learner views the same article on two different days, this is considered two views.
Article Completions The total number of articles completed by your learners during the selected time range. Each article can only be completed once by each learner. Articles from other content providers are considered complete once a learner marks it as complete.
Career Goals Total number of career goals that have been set or updated in the selected time range. 
Role Guide Views Total number of unique role guide views in the selected time range. If a learner views two different role guides, the count is 2. If a learner views the same role guide twice, the count is only 1. 

Note: Role Guide Views on Organization Summary and Career Insights reports are not comparable. The Career Insights Report shows Role Guide Views only from learners with set career goals. The Organization Summary report shows all Role Guide Views.
