Download the LinkedIn Learning Course List

Last updated: 3 years ago

LinkedIn Learning admins with access to the entire LinkedIn Learning course list can build learning paths within their own platforms. The ability to download Learning’s full course package gives them instant visibility into the content catalog, with which they can design and curate their own learning paths.

For example, when instructors or admins create learning paths within their LMS, it’s helpful for the to look at the course package so they can organize individual courses into group packages. This also allows them to search the CSV course list to find what they need to build learning paths and programs.

To download the LinkedIn Learning course list:
  1. From Learning Management, click Content and select Course Catalog in the dropdown that appears.

  2. In the Course Catalog tab, select one of the following options for course status:

    • Active + Retired: Includes all the active and retired courses.
    • Active only: Includes only the courses currently active on LinkedIn Learning.
    • Retired only: Includes only the courses that have been retired or archived from the Learning library.
  3. Then select the format in which you’d like to download the course package:

    • CSV
    • MARC 21
    • MARCXML
  4. Select if you’d like to download:

    • Package for every course
    • Packages for courses updated since last download
  5. Click Download. The list downloads as a ZIP folder. Open the folder to extract the spreadsheet.

You can filter the downloaded course list by specific values. The most common values you’ll use in your search include the following categories:
  • Course ID: If you're familiar with the course IDs, but not the course title, you can assemble your learning path by filtering your list based on Course ID.

  • Course Title: You can tailor custom learning paths using course titles based on your organization’s learning needs.
  • Duration: If you want to control the length of your learning paths (for example, you want learners to experience 7-minute micro-learnings versus a 3-hour comprehensive course), you can search by the duration of the course.

  • Subjects: If you want to perform a broad search so you can pick your preferred courses within a particular category, you can search for courses by subjects, like Business, Software Development, Photography, etc.
