Manage Learning API keys for admins

As a LinkedIn Learning admin, you can immediately generate new unique API keys for Learning by accepting the electronic Learning API agreement, available within Learning Management.

Generate a new API key

To generate a new API key:
  1. From Learning Management, select Integration > Access content and reports via API.

  2. From the Generate LinkedIn Learning REST API Application section, click Add application and enter the following information:

    • Application name: Must be unique. To view previously used key names, scroll down to the Applications section below.
    • Application description: Use keywords or a short phrase to describe your integration.
  3. Select one or both of the following keys:

    • Content
    • Report
  4. Click Next, then read the Terms and Conditions and click Agree and Save.

Client Id and Client Secret tokens are immediately created and available in the Applications section referenced in Step 4 below.

Delete an existing API key

To delete an existing API key:
  1. From Learning Management, select Integration > Access content and reports via API.

  2. From the Applications section, locate the API key you’d like to remove, and click Delete to the right of the application. (Note the scroll bar at the bottom of the list.)
