LinkedIn Learning provides various features to learners to make their Learning journeys more accessible and complete. Most of these features, like using the Notes feature, are switched on by default for all learners. However, as an admin, you can choose to switch these features off or on for your learners based on your organization’s needs.
To customize learner features:
-
From Learning Management, select Settings > Customization > Learner features.
-
On the Learner features page, you can choose to toggle "On" or "Off" the following features:
- Learner notebook: Allows learners to take personal notes within a course. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Q&A for courses: Allows learners to watch courses with the people in the organization and the LinkedIn Learning community. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Social panel in courses: Allows profile-connected learners to view and create public reviews on LinkedIn Learning content. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Ratings & reviews: Enables learners' ability to view and create public ratings and reviews on LinkedIn Learning content. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Career Goal Setting: To allow admins to turn off all the features related to their learners' explicit intent, switch the toggle to Off.
- This action also disables the Interested internal jobs feature, which allows employees to share their interest in internal job opportunities with Recruiter users at your company.
- Conversation data storage for learner AI features: Allows ongoing storage of conversation data for interactive AI features (including AI-powered coaching and role play). LinkedIn does not use enterprise learner inputs from these features to train AI models. Note: When this setting is turned off, all past enterprise learner conversation data for these features will be deleted. This data cannot be recovered. Note that conversation data will be stored temporarily to power sessions. If the setting is turned back on before this data is deleted, it may continue to be stored. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- AI-powered coaching: Allows your learners to write conversational prompts to find content or get advice, explanations, and examples based on LinkedIn Learning content. LinkedIn does not use learner inputs from these features to train AI models. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- AI-powered role play: Allows your learners to write conversational prompts to find content or get advice, explanations, and examples based on LinkedIn Learning content. LinkedIn does not use learner inputs from these features to train AI models. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Next Role Explorer: Helps learners explore potential next roles based on LinkedIn's economic graph data. Customize Next Role Explorer in the 'Roles' tab under 'Content' to make role titles, skills, and role guides more relevant to your organization. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Collections: Enables learners' ability to create Collections of courses or videos - Learning, custom, or blended - that advance your employees' professional or job-related goals. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to Off.
- Share courses and videos: Enables learners' ability to surface their Learning courses, videos, and Certificates of Completion via LinkedIn.com or social media apps. To disable this feature, switch the toggle to "Off". Note: If you switch this toggle to "Off", your learners cannot share their Certificates of Completion.
- Recent Searches: Enables learners' ability to view and click on their recent search queries from the search typeahead bar.
- Branding: Allows you to toggle "On" or Off" your company logo and co-branding features.
Here's a tip
With the Interested Internal Candidates feature, employees can signal their interest through Career Goal Setting in the LinkedIn Learning Hub, to alert hiring managers and recruiters at their company of their interest in exploring internal roles.
