Admins at profile-required and profile-optional organizations can choose to send their learners Notifications on LinkedIn.com to activate their LinkedIn Learning accounts.
Eligible learners will receive a notification to activate their Learning accounts on LinkedIn.com.
How LinkedIn sends activation notifications
LinkedIn sends activation notifications via a couple of different methods:
- If your organization has unlimited licenses, then any LinkedIn member with your company listed as the current employer would get a notification.
- If you have limited licenses, your learners will get a notification if they have the exact email address in their profile matched to the address that was uploaded.
- For example, if you uploaded jdoe@linkedin.com and your profile has jdoe@linkedin.com as your contact email, you will get a notification, OR
- Based on relevance matches, there's a single LinkedIn profile with a first and last name match at that company. For example, if there is only one profile for "Jane Doe" with LinkedIn as a current employer, she will get a notification. If there are multiple profiles for "Jane Doe" currently at LinkedIn, then she would not receive a notification.

Click Notifications on LinkedIn on the left-hand rail.

From the LinkedIn.com notifications to activate learners section, select one of the following options:
- Notify your organization: LinkedIn notifications are sent to all the learners who currently work or study at your organization. Please ensure you’ve enabled automatic license assignment in Settings). Otherwise, your learners won’t be able to activate their LinkedIn Learning account.
- Notify invited learners: LinkedIn notifications are sent to only those learners who are invited to join Learning, but haven’t activated their accounts yet.
- No notification: No notifications are sent to learners on LinkedIn.
