On March 28, 2022, LinkedIn Learning users who’ve enabled SSO and the Automatically Provision Licenses setting can see their Notifications on LinkedIn settings updated from Invited only to All learners.
If an organization/admin has enabled notification settings to All Learners, then learners who’ve connected their LinkedIn profiles to their Learning accounts will receive this notification to activate their account. You have 30 days to activate your LinkedIn Learning account from your organization.

As an admin, you can choose which learners receive these account activation notifications by selecting from three options - All Learners, Invited Learners, and None.

All Learners: All learners who have connected their LinkedIn profile with their LinkedIn Learning account can receive activation notifications on LinkedIn.

Invited Learners: The current default selection is Invited Learners, which means learners need to be invited to learn, in order to be reached on LinkedIn.

None: No learners will receive LinkedIn notifications.
On March 28, we’re updating the default notifications on LinkedIn to All Learners. Accounts with SSO enabled and the Automatically Provision Licenses setting enabled (in Profile Optional and Profile Required) will be impacted.

As an admin, you’ll notice this change go live in your settings on March 28. In a few days, LinkedIn members who are associated with your organization and who are yet to activate their Learning accounts will receive a notification to activate their account.
Current LinkedIn.com notifications to activate learners are (by default) sent only to Invited Learners, which means that learners must be nominally invited to learn in order to be reached on LinkedIn. However, as more organizations rely on automatic license assignments, these default settings need to be revised to inform all learners of their Learning license and how to activate it.
For organizations choosing to use just-in-time SSO settings, we can’t reach any learners on LinkedIn, significantly impacting account activations and your learners’ ability to start learning.
