You can use your Google login credentials to create a LinkedIn account.

To use Google credentials to join LinkedIn and create your profile:

  2. Click or tap Continue with Google.

    • You must select the Continue with Google button to agree to our terms and sign up with your Gmail address. If you do not, your LinkedIn account will not be linked to your Google account for third-party sign in.
  3. Sign in to your Google account in the pop-up window and select Next.

Note: If you are logged into your Google account on your browser, you may see your Google account already listed in the pop-up module.

  4. Select Confirm to allow LinkedIn to use your Google account.

  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your profile.

    • You may see an option to import your Gmail contacts to help LinkedIn suggest connections from people you already know. This step is optional and can be skipped.

By allowing LinkedIn to use your Google credentials, you will not have a separate password. LinkedIn does not store your Google password that is enabled via Google sign in. Please visit the Google Help Center to learn more.

Note: If you have an existing LinkedIn account with an @gmail address, do not click or tap Continue with Google as this may unintentionally create a new LinkedIn account. If you accidentally created a new account, you can follow the instructions here to close out this account.
