Send voice messages in LinkedIn Messaging

You can send voices messages in LinkedIn Messaging to communicate quickly and naturally with your 1st-degree connections or in group chats. Voice messages can be up to one minute long.

Important to know

This feature is only available on the LinkedIn mobile app.

To send a voice message:

  1. Tap the   Messaging icon in the upper right.

  2. Open a conversation.

  3. Tap the  Microphone icon.

  4. If prompted, allow LinkedIn to access your device microphone.

  5. Tap and hold the large  Microphone icon to record your message.

  6. Release to send the voice message.

To delete a recorded message before it’s sent, swipe away from the large  Microphone icon.

To listen to the voice message, tap the  Play icon.

If a message you've received is inappropriate or offensive, you can report it.
