Most in-house legal teams are spending hours every week reviewing contracts that don't really need a lawyer. Objection!! Fortunately, Zip CLO Ryan Loh has a framework for fixing this problem, designed to finally get legal and procurement aligned on where both of their time and resources are best spent. How do you localize an entire AI platform with strings living across #Python, #TypeScript, #Thrift, and #Protobuf, while keeping translation workflows fast enough for a product that ships daily? Zip engineers Leo Bookey and Trevor Weng just published Part 1 of a new series on how we built Zip's i18n infrastructure from the ground up in early 2025, spanning React, Flask, Thrift, Protobuf, and a composite string registry that translates database-persisted content without losing dynamic context. Plus, an AI-assisted translation pipeline that keeps pace with our deploy cadence. If you've ever tried to localize a complex stack, you'll appreciate the tradeoffs they expertly walk us through! Bandwidth Inc.'s procurement team was juggling redlines across multiple tools, acting as manual middlemen between vendors, legal, infosec, and requesters. Every version lived in a different system, every status check was a Slack ping, every end-of-month, predictably, was chaos. That was Bandwidth *before* Zip AI Contract Orchestration. Fast forward: (!) - 60% faster NDA turnaround (!!) ~2 hours saved per team member, per week (!!!) Full contract version history visible to every stakeholder in real time (!!!!) Procurement, legal, infosec, and privacy *finally* working from the same source of truth Plus AI agents surfacing vendor risk, breaking down SOC 2 reports, and benchmarking renewals automatically. Chicago, you are just tooooo good. What an amazing time we had at Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE! As the headline sponsor this year, the Zip team brought some unforgettable sessions and moments to stage. Jason Moore's keynote on how AI orchestration maximizes procurement strategic value creation, and what the next generation of advanced skills look like; live demos by the amazing Holly Pollack; Hands-on workshops by the inimitable Luhua Xu and Shane Polzin; along with an AI innovation debate panel, with Luhua tackling AI accountability in sourcing, predictive sustainability, and whether AI's costs actually outweigh the productivity gains... WHEW. And those was just the day's main events! All in all, truly one of the highlights of 2026 already. Thanks to everyone who joined us, asked the hard questions, and made this simply a perfect week in Chicago. Thank you Supply Chain Digital! Zip reposted this
Great night in NYC. 🥩 Zip hosted a small dinner at BeefBar New York with teams from Brex, Coast, and other procurement and finance leaders. It was great to connect in a more relaxed setting and have some honest conversations about where procurement and finance are heading. A lot of the discussion focused on how teams are thinking about AI and how it can actually be applied across intake, approvals, and broader workflows. Appreciate everyone who joined and shared their perspectives. Shoutout to Animesh Shah, Mehak Batra and Juliana Freitas for helping make it happen. Looking forward to the next one.

It's 2026 and 64% of invoices *still* need manual intervention? Sounds like you've got an architecture problem. Here's brand-new research from Andrew Bartolini of Ardent Partners on why unified intake-to-pay is the foundation AI actually needs to work, and six recommendations for procurement and AP leaders who are done dealing with the plateau.
