I have never seen so many fans light up the way they did when they discovered SCOR on Sweet at Fanatics Fest this weekend....and I've seen a lot of new products introduced to fans over the last 3 decades of my career. This was wildly different. To watch thousands of sports fans - most of them tough, jaded, hardcore New Yorkers drop their jaws as they heard us tell them they can simply play retro-style, sports-themed mini games > earn Gems > and use those Gems to power up by becoming one of their favorite athletes and activating superpowers + battle friends to rack up even more Gems - the look on their faces was the kind of reaction to a new product you never forget. By mid-afternoon Saturday, we were hearing fans yelling their latest scores as they walked by. Air fives from a distance as we introduced the next fan to SCOR (screaming loudly while the top brass of sports were popping their Cristal across the way at JayZ's 40/40 VIP Club). I'm not sure if its the 57 year old dude who said "where have you been for the last 25 years" or the 4 year old kid chanting "SKY SLAM, SKY SLAM" that was more fun to see - but in truth, it was both...I've not seen something span age groups like this in a very long time. So while I sit here drinking bucketloads of throat coat tea, a special shout out to Tom Mizzone for being a visionary for the ages. You're also a master at putting an army of smart people around you - led by Raymond Lew James K. Christian Samay Kenneth Ellis and SO many more as we do this right, with quality, both for and with the fans and the athletes.
