In 1889, Carhartt was founded on values of hard work: dependability, honesty, and trust. More than 135 years later, we continue to honor those values by implementing sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing practices that increase our efficiency while reducing our environmental impact every step of the way. Our partnership with the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol helps us source responsible fibers and support farmers adopting agricultural practices that enable long-term land stewardship. This partnership gives us full traceability across the U.S. grown cotton we choose so we can build our gear using materials grown with greater care for the land and the people we serve. This past week, we joined Ford Philanthropy for the grand opening of the Detroit ToolBank. Our partnership brings two iconic brands together around a shared goal: supporting hardworking people and the organizations that serve them. Opening this ToolBank USA location is a tangible way to expand access to tools and opportunity across Detroit. We’ve seen the impact access can make—nearly 90,000 tools loaned through our Workshop on Cass—and we’re excited to see ToolBank Detroit build on that momentum. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Ford and supporting the continued growth of the ToolBank.

Carhartt is proud to support Team Rubicon as they continue answering the call to help communities whenever and wherever they’re needed. With a volunteer force of more than 200,000 military veterans, first responders, and civilians, Team Rubicon brings critical support to communities preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. But their impact goes far beyond rebuilding. Their work provides veterans with a renewed sense of purpose, community, and identity through service. As part of our ongoing partnership, you can now represent Team Rubicon digitally through the new Team Rubicon t‑shirt in the latest Carhartt Snapchat Bitmoji collection. Carhartt is proud to support and donate to Tools and Tiaras Inc., an organization dedicated to educating and empowering young girls to learn the skills and opportunities of the trades. To celebrate Women’s History Month and our newest Women At Work Series, who better to team up with than Judaline Cassidy—longtime friend, proud New York plumber, and founder of Tools & Tiaras. We got to join a trade class, meet some incredible mentors, and even hang out with a few of her amazing students.

A career in the skilled trades means stability, purpose, and the pride of building something that lasts. That’s why we’re awarding our For the Love of Labor grant to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and its High School Builder Program to help bring shop class back to high schools. Our $375,000 donation will help expand NCCER’s accredited CTE curriculum into 15 additional schools nationwide, reaching 25 schools in total. Together, we’re introducing students to the trades and opening the door to strong, rewarding careers built by hand. Visit https://lnkd.in/giRQzjcv to learn more.

Our friend Tristan Wirfs helped launch a brand-new Carhartt Kids’ Closet at Tampa General Hospital. Tristan is an All-Pro offensive tackle for the Buccaneers and a tremendous role model off the field. This closet will provide Carhartt gear to kids whose clothes are damaged during emergency treatment, and to those navigating extended or unexpected hospital stays.
